What is Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution?
The Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution implements the distribution of Galileo HAS corrections over the Internet. The dissemination of Galileo HAS corrections is done through the Ntrip protocol (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol).
The Ntrip protocol has been designed to disseminate GNSS streaming data (e.g. encoded in RTCM v3 format) to stationary or mobile users over the Internet. Indeed, Ntrip is the de facto protocol used by most private and public service providers for terrestrial GNSS data dissemination in real-time and it is supported by most professional grade receivers in the market.
Access to the Galileo HAS corrections disseminated through the Internet Data Distribution interface requires the interaction of two separate software components, as per the Ntrip standard:
- Ntrip Caster, at Galileo infrastructure level, implements the interface that delivers Galileo HAS corrections from the High Accuracy Data Generator (HADG) to all connected users. In particular, the Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution supports the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) -based communication -with the TLS (Transport Layer Security) option - as described in the NTRIP v2 standard. Information and access credentials to the Galileo HAS Ntrip caster will be provided to all Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution users after successful registration.
- Ntrip Client, at user level, implements the external interface for the reception of Galileo HAS corrections. Depending on the final application, the Ntrip client software can be built directly into the GNSS receiver or it could be installed in an external device (e.g. PC). There are multiple client applications that implement the Ntrip protocol, such as the open source and multi stream BKG Ntrip client.

Moreover, specific support data and test vectors covering the HAS IDD corrections application are available on-demand for registered users and can be downloaded through this form.
How to access the Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution interface?
In order to obtain access to the Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution the following registration process needs to be followed:
1. Register in the GNSS Service Centre (skip this step if you are already a GSC registered user).
2. Fill and submit the Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution registration form available below:

3. After successful registration to the Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution and EUSPA authorisation in consultation with the European Commission, you will receive a confirmation email containing instructions on how to start receiving Galileo HAS corrections.
4. Establish the connection to the Galileo HAS caster following additional instructions provided to users when registration to the Galileo HAS Internet Data Distribution is complete (see point 3 above).
