Invitation to Tender: Integrity Service Complementing EGNSS High Accuracy

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG-DEFIS) has issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for a service contract to address how the future evolution of European GNSS (EGNSS) could be beneficial for innovative demanding applications. The new service contract shall assess the feasibility of an integrity service complementing EGNSS High Accuracy in the 2030+ timeframe.

Level up your space idea with #MyGalileoSolution competition

The European GNSS Agency (GSA) has just launched the #MyGalileoSolution competition. The contest is targeting European innovators and entrepreneurs ready to develop location-based solutions, such as mobile applications, wearable-based solutions, asset management and tracking solutions, or robotics, leveraging Galileo as a source of positioning, navigation and/or timing. A wide participation from all Member States is expected.

The Galileo Information Centres (GIC), an initiative of the European Commission and DG-DEFIS, are facilitating the introduction of EGNSS in Latin America. The recently-established Centre in Chile - providing services to the Galileo user community in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador - is organising a series of webinars to introduce Galileo to the Latin America user community, and showcase the benefits that the European GNSS can bring to the regional markets and stakeholders.

The European GNSS Agency (GSA) is looking for innovative solutions to showcase at the virtual Galileo stand during Infoshare event taking place 23 – 30 September 2020. Infoshare is the biggest Tech Conference in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2019 it gathered over 6000 participants and 700+ start-ups, speakers and investors. It's a place to share ideas and passions but also to boost start-ups and investments. In 2020, under the changed circumstances, Infoshare will continue to be a place to meet like-minded developers and experts and make new contacts from the industry in a digital format.

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence, Industry and Space (DG-DEFIS)  has issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a planned call to address how the future evolution of European GNSS (EGNSS) could be beneficial for autonomous transportation. The new service contract shall assess the feasibility of an integrity service complementing EGNSS High Accuracy in the 2030+ timeframe.

The European GNSS Agency (GSA), in collaboration with the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE), has launched the Geomatics on the Move 2020 competition with the aim of fostering the use of EU satellite programmes Galileo, EGNOS and Copernicus among students, young professionals, entrepreneurs and small and mid-sized businesses (SMEs), to create innovative geomatics applications and solutions across all over Europe. MyGalileoDrone contest open for submissions!

The European GNSS Agency (GSA), the operational agency of the European Commission for Galileo and EGNOS, is launching its MyGalileoDrone competition on July 17. This contest is targeting the design and development of drone-based applications or services, using a Galileo/EGNOS-enabled receiver, that address the EU’s key priorities such as the Green Deal, and support the EU Recovery Plan for Europe. Initial ideas should be submitted by 31 August. A wide participation from all Member States is expected.
