As the Vendée Globe 2024 sets sail, EUSPA announced that the Galileo Search and Rescue (SAR) service has reached Full Operational Capability (FOC), enhancing global search and rescue efforts.

The Galileo Open Service (OS), the Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) and the Enhanced Search and Rescue (SAR) Service Performance Reports for Q2 2024 are available at the GSC Electronic Library.

The demonstration was the first of its kind for the Galileo High Accuracy Service on the African continent.
